I was visiting my mother in
Fraser, Idaho. Her driveway winds almost a mile down into the
woods and this driveway used to be the road that the
stagecoaches rode on from Greer or Orofino. There are only two
houses down there, my mother's and a big white house that used
to be the stagecoach stop.
One night I was sleeping in the
upstairs bedroom (which is pitch black due to no streetlights,
I was in the middle of nowhere) Anyhow, I woke up in the middle
of the night and noticed a white, misty apparition beside the
bed. I rubbed my eyes and reached around this figure to the
nightstand where I was frantically searching for the remote
for the TV (of course the light switch was across the room) I
had fallen asleep with the TV remote in the bed so of course I
had to run across the room to turn on the light!! I told my
Mom, my step dad Lance, and my step grandma Cricket about what I
saw the next morning.
My mom didn't believe me, my step dad
told me I was seeing a reflection in the mirror (it was pitch
black outside, so there wasn't a reflection) and my step
grandma gave me a lamp to keep on at night and I also had the
rottweiler sleep in the room with me for the rest of my trip.
It was weird because I didn't care one way or another if
anyone believed me, I know what I saw and I will never forget
it.
The city that I lived in had a
Psychic Cafe in which you could speak to a psychic for free,
yes free, you just had to leave a tip. I asked the psychic
about "the lady" that I saw, keep in my that I just
saw a mist however I sensed it to be a female in early 1900's
clothing (like what the women wore on Little House on
the Prairie) and no I didn't tell the psychic that it was a
lady because I of course was testing her. The psychic told me
that this lady was looking out the window only the view was
different, when the house was moved down there it was put in
backwards. I don't know how she knew this but it actually is
100% true. This home was moved from Headquarters Idaho in 1971
and the house was put in backwards. The sun porch is on the
back of the house!!
Since then my mother,
stepfather, and step uncle have all had weird things happen
to them. I think it's funny because none of them believed
me!!
I moved to Idaho in June of
1999 and stayed with my family at this home until I moved
into my own place. I would be staying in the room across
from the room where I saw my ghost. I was so scared that
night but I just went up to the room and asked the lady that
if she wanted to be there I have no problem with it just
don't scare me and don't scare my cats and I am happy to say
that I wasn't scared (well, maybe a little bit sometimes) I
felt sort of connected to her because she was looking out
the window and she only did this when she was feeling
stressed or sad and what women hasn't been in this
predicament. In other words, I have walked in her shoes.
I also lived in a house in
downtown Kennewick (the old part). This house was haunted
also but that's a whole other story......
